Congratulations to Devin Ryan and Eddie Blue on their 2nd place finish out of 57 in Saturday's $35,000 Savaro 1.50m at Live Oak International CSI3*. Spectacular venue and Eddie Blue handled it with confidence beyond his young 8 years! This came following his 4th place of 57 entries on Friday's $10,000 1.40m Power & Speed. What an amazing week for those two!
Excerpted from Devin's interview "My horse has the mentality, heart and bravery, he has all the talent," said Ryan. "He's such a careful horse, always studying the fences and he has such a big stride and scope. To me he's perfect."

WEF Weeks 9 & 10: 

Devin and his horses traveled south following a successful week of showing at the Gulfport Winter Classic. It was a first showing for all of his horses at the 2011 FTI Winter Equestrian Festival held at Palm Beach International Equestrian Center.  The following are the notable results for Devin and his horses:

Bartano Z - In the 5 Year Old Young Jumper Division, he placed in 3 of his 4 classes: 1st of 14, 2nd of 11 and 6th of 13.

Calissandro - In the 7 Year Old Young Jumper Division, he placed 2nd and 3rd out of 42 entries during his first week of showing!

Friller - In the 6 Year Old Young Jumper Division, she placed 2nd of 15, 4th of 7 and 8th of 17. All this after coming off of maternity leave!

No Worries - Competed in the 1.40 m classes, taking 4th out of 45 in the $6,000 Spy Coast Speed Challenge.

Roman Saluut - Competed in the 1.35m classes, taking 1st out of 27 in the $2,500 Charles Owen Challenge.

Gulf Coast Winter Classic III: The main event of the weekend was Sunday’s Adequan sponsored $25,000 Grand Prix.  With 81 seconds allowed, the course tested rider's technical skills as well as the stamina of their horse athletes. “The course rode really quick-everything came up quick; the turns, the jumps, it all came up quick.” commented today’s only clear round and big winner Devin Ryan of Long Valley, NJ.
